Since electrical components are prone to short circuits or oxidation when exposed to water, operation in deep water should be avoided. When cleaning the equipment, never use a high-pressure water jet directly on electrical parts. It is recommended to use a damp cloth for wiping and ensure that the electrical control box, sensors, and wiring harness interfaces remain dry to prevent reduced insulation performance or circuit corrosion.

2. The battery compartment should be kept clean and free of metal tools, wires, or other debris. Metal objects can cause a short circuit if they come into contact with the positive and negative terminals of the battery, which may not only damage the battery but also potentially lead to a fire and serious accidents.

3. Never use metal materials such as copper or iron wires as substitutes for fuses, and do not install non-standard fuses with incorrect ratings. Fuses serve as protection devices against circuit overloads. Using incorrect substitutes can leave the entire electrical system unprotected, potentially resulting in burned-out electrical equipment or even wiring fires.

4. If the excavator is to be parked for an extended period, the negative battery cable should be disconnected to prevent power loss due to slow discharge. Chronic power loss will significantly reduce the battery’s service life and affect the normal starting of the excavator.

Beyond these basic steps, it is also important to regularly inspect various wiring circuits for wear or aging, keep connections tight, clean oil stains and dust from the surfaces of the generator and starter to ensure proper heat dissipation, and apply petroleum jelly to battery terminals to prevent corrosion.
